Nick Visscher is the principal owner of Spotlight Impact Data Design, an independent design consultancy based in Seattle. His greatest professional joy is helping people turn their data into stories through visually engaging data visualization, report, and presentation design. He has nearly 20 years of interdisciplinary experience working in visitor-serving organizations like museums, zoos, aquariums and in higher education leading graduate coursework in museum research and evaluation. In addition to design consulting Nick is an Evaluation Specialist at Woodland Park Zoo, he is past chair of the Visitor Studies Association’s Zoo & Aquarium Focused Interest Group (ZAFIG), serves on the editorial board of Visitor Studies journal published by Taylor & Francis, and is a member of the American Evaluation Association, Seattle Evaluation Association, Visitor Studies Association, and the Presentation Guild. In the 2023 he received the Certified Presentation Specialist (CPS)™ with PowerPoint® proficiency designation through the Presentation Guild.
